Saturday's $40 Tournament Results

Yesterday, Chad Krump was able to take down the first $40 event of the new season. Bruce Maul took 2nd, followed by Jason Hubert in 3rd and Pat Anderson in 4th.

The final hand saw Chad raising the $3,000 big blind for his $1,500 small blind to $9,000 preflop. Chad had approximately $34K in chips to start the hand while Bruce had about $22K. Flop is Q98, Bruce checks and Chad moves all-in. After some very deliberate thought, Bruce calls all-in, but is highly disappointed when Chad flips over the nuts - JT. Bruce will need runner - runner to win the hand, but with a Q on the turn and a 6 on the river it is not to be and Chad takes it down.

The biggest hand of the night happened with 4-handed play, when Chad raised UTG from $1,200 to $4,000, after the action was folded around to Pat in the BB, he moved all-in for another $11,400, Chad called with A6 - he only had $11,500, so would be left with $100 if he lost to Pat's 55. The flop was KQJ, the turn was a 7, but the river brought the A to give Chad the pot and well over half the chips in play going into 3-handed action.

Next tournament is Feb 8th, a Wednesday. It is a $20 Razz event at Jim Tallakson's - start time is 7:00.
