$20 Razz Tournament
Preliminarily, a $20 Razz Tournament is schedule for Wednesday, February 8th, at 7:00 p.m. at Jim Tallakson's house at 4293 39th Avenue South in Fargo.
Razz is a 7-card stud game in which you are trying to make the worst hand - disregarding straights and flushes. Aces are low. So therefore, the hand you want would be 5432A. Pairs are, of course bad, but you do only use 5 of the 7 cards to make your hand, so obviously 5432A45 is still the best hand.
Hands are ranked from the highest card, down. For example 8542A beats 9432A, and 8643A beats 8732A.
Just like 7-card stud, you are dealt 2 cards down, 1 card up on the first deal. Then 4 more deals of one card each, up, up, up, and down respectively.
Antes will again start at $25 with limits of $50/$100 and a starting chip count of $3,500.
